Vellutata is a creamy vegitable mash. The vellutatas are made from fresh top quality vegetables. The vegetables are harvested at the same place as the vellutata production (in the Protected Area of the Natural Park of the Calabrian Serre) and are boiled down in a vacuum at low temperature, without having contact with possible pollution sources.
In this way it’s possible to preserve the nutritional values, the aroma, the taste and the colour of the vegetables, without any chemical additives or artificial colourings.
The following pasteurization of the bottled product admits an optimum conservation without the addition of preservatives.
The result is an absolutely genuine product. You can spread it on toasted bread and serve it as an hors d’oeuvre, or you can use it as a ready-to-serve sauce to season in an unusual and appetizing way roast meat or boiled meat or to accompany Pecorino cheese of a medium maturing. (220 ml)
